The association
Since 2018, the Up n' Down association has organised the Trail du Jura bernois in Tramelan. Six people keep it running all year round, and about a hundred volunteers join them on race day.

Who we are
Up n' Down the association behind the race
A non-profit association based in Tramelan. Its statutes give it three aims.

Organise the race
The Trail du Jura bernois: four courses from 13.5 to 66.5 km, starting in Tramelan, at the end of September.

Make the region known
Introducing people to the Bernese Jura and the Chasseral Nature Park through mountain activities.

Each member looks after one area all year round, and everyone gets together at the Marelle on race Saturday.

Infrastructure, logistics and timing. On race day he runs race HQ, where the results come from.

Become a member 30 francs a year, a vote at the general meeting
Members keep the association going between two editions. Your fee supports it, and it gives you a say in what comes next.
How the association works

The general meeting
Once a year, in February. Every member present has one vote. It approves the accounts, sets the fee and elects the committee.

The committee
Elected by the general meeting, it prepares the race and meets about ten times a year. Two or three times a year, other regulars join in.
- 3
The auditors
Two members audit the accounts each year and report to the general meeting.

Members receive the invitation and agenda by email.
The fee covers the calendar year. To leave, a written message before 30 September is enough: you won't pay the following year.
