Our philosophy
The Trail du Jura bernois passes through pastures, forests, the Combe-Grède and the Chasseral. We want it to pass through without leaving a trace, and to remain a village race.

What matters to us
Everything starts at the Salle de la Marellein Tramelan, and everything returns there: race bibs, starts, finish, meals. Around a hundred volunteers staff the various stations. We're growing, without losing that spirit.

Four routes, from your first trail run to the longest day of your season. Same start, same finish, same welcome for everyone, from the first to the last.
Chamois, hares, roe deer and foxes live where we run. These trails are open to us for a day: we leave them as we found them.
On the route
Cutting corners damages the soil and the meadows. The trail markers are there for you: follow them, even when a shortcut tempts you.
Gel and bar wrappers included. One pocket in your bag is enough; a bin awaits you at the next station.
Slow down if you encounter an animal, and don't pick anything. Dogs must stay home on race day, even on a leash.
At the supply points
On La Traversée, L'Essentielle and La Grandiose, a personal cup is mandatory equipment. At aid stations, you drink from your own: that's fewer disposable cups on the trails and in the bins.
La Découverte does not have refreshments during the race: a cup is recommended for the finish.
A flexible cup weighs only a few grams and folds up to fit in a pocket of your bag. Remember to bring it when you're packing your things the night before.
At the start and finish
The dishes and cups in the room are reusable. They are rented and washed by the dishwashing workshop of the La Pimpinière Foundation in Tavannes, where people with disabilities work.
