La Traversée largely follows the route of L'Essentielle, without the climb to Chasseral.

You first climb onto the ridge, then you cross the Mont-Crosin wind farm before a steep descent to Villeret and the first refreshment stop.

A rolling trail then follows the river for a while, perfect for getting the engine going again all the way to Cortébert.

From there, a sharp climb takes you back up to the ridge, then you head down to Tramelan and the finish line.
