The start will be in Tramelan, behind the Marelle multipurpose hall.

  • The maximum time to reach the first aid station in Villeret is 3 hours (09:00).
  • Maximum time to reach the 2nd supply point at Chasseral is 5 hours (11:00).
  • The maximum time to reach the 3rd aid station in Lamboing is 8 hours (2:00 PM).
  • Maximum time to reach the 4th aid station in Cortébert is 11 hours (5:00 PM).
  • The entire route must be completed in a maximum of 13 hours (7:00 PM).

By completing the race, you will earn 3 ITRA points

Briefing 10 minutes before departure, at 05:50.

A personal cup is required for use at aid stations.
There are no cups provided at the aid stations.
A headlamp is also mandatory.

If you choose to use poles, you must have them with you throughout the race.

La Grandiose is a demanding route for trail runners looking for challenges and sumptuous landscapes.

A course bordering on ultra-trail running awaits you with La Grandiose. The start in Tramelan, illuminated by headlamps, begins with a steep climb to the ridge and a descent to Cortébert that will immediately test your muscles.
Next, head towards Mont-Sujet and Lamboing before climbing to the summit of Chasseral. From there, the trail leads you down into the heart of the Combe-Grède valley before climbing back up the other side of the St-Imier valley to the Mont-Crosin wind farm. One last push, because in the distance, Tramelan and the finish line await.

A course bordering on ultra-trail running awaits you with La Grandiose. Starting in Tramelan by the light of headlamps, the route begins with a climb along the ridges to reach the Mt-Crosin wind farm. This is followed by a descent to St-Imier and Villeret via the Sentier du Sergent trail. From there, a climb to Chasseral via the Combe-Grède valley, then a descent to Nods before tackling the steep ascent of Mt-Sujet towards Lamboing. The return is a steep climb via the Sentier des Statues trail and the Prés-d'Orvin meadows. The route then heads towards Cortébert and the famous final steep climb to the Bises de Corgémont before descending back to Tramelan and the finish line, which awaits you.
